Color Interactions By Hailey Collins
Color Interactions
In this project, we cut out squares of contrasting and non-contrasting colors and pasted them on top of each other, and observed the difference in colors that was presented by the tonal variation.
I learned how the way colors interact affects how the colors appear. For example, if you put a yellow square in the middle of a black background, it looks much brighter than if you put it in the middle of a white background. The vibrancy and overall shade appears differently.

Abstract Shell Form By Hailey Collins
Abstract Shell Form
This Assignment was difficult, but it was my favorite to do. We started with a natural shell as inspiration. We needed to create an abstract form of it with open space. My natural form was a piece of coral.
This project taught me hoe to work clay, and what I need to do when I'm working with clay, such as to not make anything too thin or else it will break, and to not make anything solid.
Color Tubes By Hailey Collins
Color Tubes
In this assignment, we drew a line with a few curves in it and put points on it. We drew little arcs in different sizes and directions to create the illusion of three dimensionality.
This project taught me how to look at the bigger picture and plan ahead in my drawings to prevent it from looking funny.
